Right click your client and press run as administrator. Then press Yes.

Doesn't work. I turned off my firewall and when I click on it, nothing pops up. I check my task manager, but there's no activity.

I think it might be your antivirus. Are you using AVG?
You'll have to turn gaming mode on to play full screen games/applications,
OR turn your antivirus off,
OR uninstall and download a different antivirus. (Avast! is pretty good)

If its not the antivirus... it could be that your v83 files might be corrupted?

But I think it's the antivirus that's blocking it.
The best option is to turn gaming mode/game mode on.

already uninstalled my anti virus, i tried to disable my firewall it still didnt help.
i think it has something to do with the loopback adapter - it says "unidentified network"
maybe that is the problem? (cuz i know u should disable it anyway :S)

When you play maplestory, only your local connection should be on.

Still have problems with this guy. In my task manager, some CPU starts being used as it starts up and it automatically goes to 00 after a few seconds.

what message gives you the unidentified network? if it's your wireless connection then that's weird, since it shows that when you can't associate with the network, and are unable to get a valid IP address; which in itself is weird, since you can go online to post on this forum...

i have 3 adapters :
local area connection(REALTEK) - which says that the network cable is unplugged. (built in net card - im not using it)
local area connection 2 (loopback adapter)
wireless adapter (RALINK) - which works.
i disabled the REALTEK, still doesn't work, disabled the loopback, didnt work
disabled both, still didnt work..
the funny thing is -
it happend all the sudden.
1 day i could connect, other i couldn't.
i dont recall doing anything that could affect that.
and even if i did do something, i format my P.C twice..
and it still didnt help.
i installed the net drivers..
bleh, idk what to do T.T
btw, thanks for everyone whos trying to help me out here..

EDIT :
i just noticed this happens ONLY with v83, and with ALL of them..
i tried 8 more V83 clients, all didnt work.
i tried a v63, 75 - both worked.
