Bug: Losing your Vote Points

Credits go to abcdef for finding this one.
The Problem:
Turns out if you create a new character, all the vote points you have vanish and you end up with 0. I tested it and its true. I don't know any solutions yet besides not creating any new characters while u have VP (obviously).
URGENT:THIS ALSO APPLIES TO DONOR POINTS, as I've recently found out >.> (the hard way). DO NOT MAKE ANY NEW CHARACTERS WHILE YOU HAVE LEFTOVER DONOR POINTS, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

i think i know what's causing this, but without looking at the source, it's hard to tell

It's because votepoints and donator points are both located in the account database.
Since it is, it all applies to accounts and whenever a character is made. It literally restarts.
